Plant wise initiative
Plantwise is a global programme led by CABI with the purpose to improve food security by reducing loss of farm produce emanating from plant health problems. The plantwise initiative is a 5 years programme being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security through the Department of Agriculture Extension Services (DAES) with financial support from CABI, UK. The entry point to the initiative is training of AEDOs and Selected Subject Matter Specialists as Plant doctors, who later establish Plant Health Clinics. So far 139 plant clinics have been established across the country.
